PIT Data Designer is an easy to use, drag-and-drop tool for designing or describing your actual test environments in PIT Data. The resulting test configurations can be then used with PIT Data tools Path Tracer and Smolting.
True to its goals, PIT Data won't make you edit XML, INI or other obscure configuration files. Instead, Designer allows you to create arbitrary test environments and annotate them for easier use. The names and descriptions you give to different pieces of the environment will actually show up in the Excel spreadsheets you create with Path Tracer!
Quick run of the features
Easy to use, drag-and-drop
The configuration view is full drag-and-drop. Double-click to add nodes and drag them around the view. You can link areas together by holding the Ctrl key and drawing a line between the areas.
All areas and links between them can be arbitrarily named, described, tagged and given acronyms to match your other documentation.
Free to assemble antennas within the configuration
Antennas between areas can be fully configured within the same user interface.
Intuitive looks to match reality
By moving the components around you can make the configuration to exactly match their actual locations. This makes things a lot easier to understand later on.
Easy to manage configurations
PIT Data manages all the configurations and provides them automatically to wherever you need them. No need to search for files around the computer or organize them.
