PIT Data Smolting is a specialized tool for analyzing smolting behavior in young fish. It computes tendencies of the test subjects to move to certain direction along your test environment, creating a detailed Excel table of the results.
Very similar to Path Tracer, Smolting runs probabilistic inference to understand test subject movements despite missing or bad data. PIT Data Smolting was created to answer a specific need, making circular movement analysis much faster and more reliable than could be done by hand.
Smolting assumes that there are only two opposite directions to move about in a circular antenna configuration and that the antenna numbers grow consistently along one direction.
